Privacy policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

This policy explains how Six Two Ventures handles personal data when you visit sixtwo.vc, send us a pitch or otherwise get in touch. We keep it short: we collect little, we do not sell data and we do not track you across the web.

1. Who we are

Six Two Ventures, based in Antwerp, Belgium, is the controller of your personal data. Six Two Ventures invests only its own capital and does not raise money from investors, so this policy covers founders, companies, contacts and website visitors only. For any privacy question, write to hello@sixtwo.vc.

2. What we collect and why

Founders who pitch us

Your name, contact details, role, professional background and whatever you share about your company: deck, financials, team and plans. We use this to assess a possible investment and to reply to you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in evaluating investment opportunities, and taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement (GDPR art. 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(b)).

Founders and companies we invest in

Contact and identification details of founders, directors and fellow shareholders, and the information needed to complete and manage an investment. Legal basis: performance of the investment agreement and our legal obligations, including company law, tax and accounting rules and, where applicable, anti-money laundering checks (art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(c)).

Other contacts

Name, email address and the content of your message when you contact us as a co-investor, adviser or anyone else. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding and maintaining professional relationships (art. 6(1)(f)).

Website visitors

Our hosting provider automatically records technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working, secure website (art. 6(1)(f)).

We do not use personal data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we never sell it.

3. Where we get your data

Mostly from you: when you email us, send a deck or meet us. We may also receive your details from someone who introduces you, such as a founder, co-investor or adviser, and we look up professional information that is publicly available, for example in the Belgian Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (KBO) and Belgian Official Gazette, on your company website and on LinkedIn. We use public sources only to prepare for a conversation or to assess an opportunity.

4. Cookies

This website uses no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, and loads no third-party scripts or fonts. That is why you see no cookie banner. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

5. Confidentiality of your pitch

We treat business information you share in a pitch as confidential and use it only to evaluate a possible investment. We do not share it outside Six Two Ventures without your permission, except with professional advisers bound by confidentiality. Please do not send us information that you are not free to share.

6. Who receives your data

Only service providers that help us operate, such as our email, IT and website hosting providers, and our accountant, lawyers and bank where an investment requires it. They act on our instructions or under their own professional duty of confidentiality. With your agreement, we may introduce you to co-investors. We disclose data to authorities only when legally required.

7. Transfers outside the EEA

Some of our IT providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case we rely on an adequacy decision of the European Commission, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or on the Commission's standard contractual clauses.

8. How long we keep it

Pitches we do not pursue
Up to 24 months after our last contact, so we can follow your progress. Ask us and we delete it sooner.
Investments
For as long as we hold the investment, then for the statutory retention period, currently 10 years for accounting records.
Other correspondence
Up to 24 months after our last contact, unless a longer period is needed for a legal claim.
Website logs
As set by our hosting provider, normally no more than a few weeks.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict its use, or to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on our legitimate interest, you can object at any time, and where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@sixtwo.vc. Exercising your rights is free. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that we never disclose data to the wrong person. We reply within one month; for complex requests this can be extended by two more months, and we will tell you if so. If you are not satisfied, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be, or with the authority in your own EU country.

10. Security

We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections, access limited to the people who need it and two-factor authentication on our accounts. If a data breach ever occurs that puts your rights at risk, we will notify the Data Protection Authority and, where required, you.

11. Links to other websites

Our website may link to other sites, such as LinkedIn. We are not responsible for how those sites handle personal data; please read their own privacy policies.

12. Changes

We may update this policy when our activities or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
